Raffia is made from the raffia palms native to Madagascar, but can also be found in parts of Central and South America. Due to the natural resin, raffia is extremely durable. This makes each piece very flexible, allowing you to create beautiful pieces.

Rattan is a natural fibre from palm trees. It is a very flexible material that can be woven in many different ways, creating light, durable and, above all, environmentally friendly products. In Indonesia there is a long tradition and experience in making and weaving beautiful rattan products.

The best way to clean raffia products is to hang them in the open air after washing with water. If the raffia becomes stained, wash it as quickly as possible with water before the stains penetrate the fibres. It should be left to dry in the sun until it is no longer damp if there is no possibility of it becoming mouldy. As a natural fibre, it is not suitable to use chemicals to remove stains from raffia.

Rattan does not require a lot of maintenance or excessive cleaning. You should dust or vacuum lamps and furniture frequently or clean the surface with warm water or dishwashing detergent. If you use rattan products outdoors, it is recommended to cover them, as the sun may fade the colour.
