Xavier de Santos is an industrial designer. He studied industrial design and mechanical engineering in Barcelona. Since 1990 he has worked in various design studios, collaborating with renowned studios such as Pascual Salvador estudi de disseny. He has also participated in the design of lighting and furniture. Since 1997 he has worked at the Design Center Europe of the Volkswagen group and since 2006 he has collaborated with BMW and AUDI Munich, KIA MOTORS Frankfurt and Geely Design LINK & CO Goteborg.

Thea is a swivel floor lamp with a swing arm that can be efficiently adjusted in height thanks to the counterweight assisted by a friction mechanism. It is a lamp with a great aesthetic balance between its sustainable materials and very dynamic thanks to its geometry. The structure and base are made of wood, cement and iron. The wood in the body provides warmth and the "flor de Barcelona" panot, typical of the city where this lamp has been designed and manufactured, gives weight and stability to the base.
