It is common for small white chalk stains to appear on Terracotta if it is used as a planter, due to the tap water used to water the plants. These white spots are easily removed with hot water and a small splash of vinegar. During the winter months, it is recommended to leave the terracotta indoors to prevent it from freezing and cracking due to temperatures below 0 degrees.

Rattan does not require a lot of maintenance or excessive cleaning. You should dust or vacuum lamps and furniture frequently or clean the surface with warm water or dishwashing detergent. If you use rattan products outdoors, it is recommended to cover them, as the sun may fade the colour.
